Model Fight

Model Fight, often remembered online as ModelFight or ModelFight.com, was an American women’s wrestling and catfight video producer that emerged from the Midwest around the beginning of the 2000s. At a time when female wrestling videos were commonly distributed through specialist catalogues and mail order, Model Fight developed a distinctive identity around attractive amateur women competing in women’s wrestling, catfighting, female boxing, oil wrestling and arm wrestling. The original ModelFight website is now defunct, making surviving Model Fight videos an increasingly difficult-to-find part of early online female fighting history. 

What made Model Fight different from many established women’s wrestling producers was its emphasis on relatively inexperienced, everyday competitors rather than polished professional wrestlers. Retrospective accounts remember the company for featuring Midwestern women and college students in genuinely competitive matches, often fought at a slower and more natural pace than scripted or fantasy wrestling productions. The result was a catalogue with an unscripted feel: competitors struggled for position, used body scissors, headlocks and submission holds, pulled hair when the rules permitted it, and frequently showed genuine determination to defeat the woman opposite them. 

Some of the best-remembered ModelFight wrestlers include Alexis, Caroline, Katie and Roxy, alongside names such as Brandi, Becca, Heather, Tracy, Lea, Ericka and Laurel. Alexis in particular became closely associated with Model Fight before appearing for other female wrestling producers in the United States and Europe. Her Model Fight appearances included competitive wrestling and catfight-style encounters, with her battle against Brandi and an apartment wrestling match against Becca among those later remembered by women’s wrestling historians. 

The Model Fight video catalogue extended well beyond conventional mat wrestling. Surviving catalogues document releases including Model Fight #9: Ericka’s Feature, Model Fight #10: Boxing 1, Model Fight #13: Tracy’s Feature, Model Fight #14: Catfight Tourney 1 and Model Fight #15: Petite Oil Wrestling. These productions included female boxing, pool wrestling, body boxing, arm wrestling and oil wrestling alongside one-on-one women’s wrestling and competitive catfights. Catfight Tourney 1, for example, featured combinations of Lea, Heather, Caroline and Tracy, while Petite Oil Wrestling featured Diane, Jessica, Jennifer and Kitty.

Today, original Model Fight videos represent a largely vanished era of independent female combat production. With ModelFight.com gone and much of its catalogue no longer readily available, surviving matches offer a rare look at early-2000s amateur women’s wrestling, competitive catfighting, female boxing and vintage women’s fighting videos before online streaming became the norm.
